Photoshop Time-Waster

Strawberry Season 2 DVD

When people give me DVD screeners, I make with the Photoshop. No, it doesn’t make any sense.

The original untouched ad (for Dolly Madison, 1960)

I did it with last year’s, too.

Super big thanks to Mike Cagnazzi at AMC/Rainbow for the DVDs.

Superb site, flickr etc great illustrations.. Women DO LOVE “Madmen” dont they?. I’ve got my theories…it’s all about “positive” versus “negative” freedoms..the tenants of the restraints on individualism that gave us communism and Islamic fundamentalism on the one hand and the Straussian “American Dream” type scenario, that we have lived and pursued in “the West” and which provides the beautifully observed and semi-re-created “fifties” of “Madmen”.
I had that all worked out in the shower this morning, must blog it or something.

Does it ruin your theory that Mad Men takes place in 1960 (and onward)?

Yes..dammit.Makes me feel like an ignorant fool. That one should have stayed “in the shower” .Alternatively i just should have put “sixties and onward”, and it doesnt make your illustrations any less brilliant. :)
