Mad Men: The Illustrated World Released!

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

I had the date wrong on the earlier post (or it changed since I wrote that). It’s out now.

Bobble Joan lounges on first shipment

Ninety-six pages of full-color illustrated laughs and semi-true information written and drawn by me (and some other people: Dan Telfer, Sarah Wilkes, Silvija Ozols, Will Hines + more, but mostly me). This, inexplicably, is the first “official” Mad Men publication ever. It’s also the first Mad Men book that doesn’t have a red/black/white cover.

This is not a collection of web illustrations (I wish it was, that would have been so easy for me!)... it’s mostly new material. With words. I can make up a percentage right now. 85% new, I’ll say. It contains NO SPOILERS for Season 4, if you’re waiting for the DVD.

Judge A Book By The Cover

Monday, April 26th, 2010

I didn’t even realize this was out yet, but here it is. My first book cover illustration, in stores May 4, attached to some guy’s memoir.

Here’s the not quite final cover:

She Ain't Heavy

Your version will have the proper sub-credit line in there. You could order on Amazon, but really, you should support your local bookseller if you can

Michael Palin’s Diaries

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

I just finished Michael Palin’s Diaries 1969-1979, which AV got me for Xmas. I was doing a lot of reading back in January, finishing three books in two weeks, but I kinda fell off. I still have another book my parents got me and an old copy of

    Pride and Prejudice
I took from their house to get through. But I made it through all 900 pages of Michael Palin’s musings.

I’ll expand on this entry later; I’m going to go get a haircut now.
