After ending My Wife, The Ghost, we didn't want to sit out the next screening. We aimed to do something that was the polar opposite - dream-like, dramatic, unfamiliar, a little creepy.
The First Steps is a "failed pilot" -- it did not earn enough audience votes at the live Channel 102 screening to get a second episode.
We still like it.
