I'm an illustrator who also does comedy and a comedian who draws too.
After nearly 20 years as a New Yorker, I moved to Los Angeles in 2018, where I currently reside.
AT LENGTH (Third Person):
Dyna Moe studied film-making and animation at NYU. As an early member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre NY, she performed and then taught comedy for 20 years.
She gained internet fame for her illustration work for TV drama Mad Men, including the viral Mad Men Yourself avatar-making app and writing/illustrating the internationally best-selling book Mad Men: the Illustrated World.
Five years later, she wrote and illustrated her unrelated-to-television 2nd book Hipster Animals: A Field Guide in both English and French, mocking the various species and subcultures of the urban hip as anthropomorphic characters.
Illustration clients include Marc Jacobs, Random House, Chronicle Books, Marvel Comics, McSweeney's, Cartoon Network, Merge Records, Comedy Central, a Portuguese fruit drink company, an Italian fashion magazine and anyone who'll agree to pay cash in advance.
